Gilda Almeida is a licensed attorney in Brazil, New York, Florida and Portugal.

Gilda is an experienced international tax lawyer, having worked for the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service for about 28 years. After her retirement early in 2020, Gilda Almeida provides strategic planning advice for global entities and individuals.

Gilda has vast experience in federal corporate taxes, withholding taxes, international taxes and compliance, ultra-high-net-worth individual taxation, and tax treaties. 

Gilda has a conferred law degree in two legal systems: common law and civil law.

Gilda is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Gilda has a Legum Magister (LL.M.) in taxation with a certification in advanced international taxation from Georgetown Law University, Washington, D.C.

Further, Gilda has a Juris Doctor and a Legum Magister (L.L.M.) in International Arbitration from University of Miami.

Gilda serves as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). AAA was founded in 1926 and administer mediations and arbitrations, including Commercial and Transfer Pricing arbitrations.

Passionate about corporate taxes, international taxation, and international tax arbitration, Gilda Almeida writes, publishes articles, and contributes public speaking at many worldwide recognized stages. Gilda was granted a Legum Magister in Arbitration.
